October's word of the month was "Brave."
The teachers and staff observe students, and when they catch them displaying good character -in this case being brave- they send the student's name to me and I give them an award and enter their name in a drawing for a grand prize. In the elementary school it sometimes takes a lot to be Brave. Just coming to school for the first time, or sitting in the cafeteria can be quite an adventure. We are especially proud of all of our Brave Little Warriors this month. In October, I was able to give away McDonald's Ice cream cones, pies, French fries, and drinks from the Gassville McDonald's, plus a grand prize, a free kids meal at El Chico in Mountain Home.
The grand prize winner for the month of October is a 1st grade student from Mrs. Dilbeck's class.
November's word of the month is "Resourceful".
