October's word of the month was "Courage."
The teachers and staff observe students, and when they are caught displaying good character -in this case being courageous- they send the student's name to me and I enter their name in a drawing for a grand prize. The grand prize winner receives a gift certificate from a local restaurant and a Student of the Month pin. In October the local restaurant's being represented were McDonalds of Gassville and El Chico's of Mountain Home. We had many Little Responsible Warriors; however this month the grand prize winner is a 6th grade student from Mrs. Raycraft's homeroom.
November's word of the month is Respect.
