Amanda Gist Elementary

The Cotter Public Schools exist solely for the benefit of education for our children. The employees, buildings, and textbooks are provided for their educational, moral, and social needs. The mission of Amanda Gist Elementary School is to provide an environment conducive to the emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of each child. Cotter Elementary School will provide its students with the skills necessary to acquire, assimilate, and analyze information. We will strive to develop each child’s fullest potential by promoting a positive self-concept and meeting individual needs. 

We believe that education should be a major priority of both school and community and will work toward this goal by involving parents and community to the fullest extent possible. We greatly encourage parent and community involvement within our school. We welcome you to visit our school and attend or school’s special programs. In order to protect the safety of our students and teachers and to prevent unnecessary disruption of our school programs, we do require all visitors to report to the principal’s office before going to other parts of the building or premises.
