Kindergarten Registration for 2014-2015

Kindergarten registration is scheduled for April 23(Wednesday), 24(Thursday), & 25(Friday), from 9:00am-2:00pm.  The Kindergarten student must be five (5) years of age on or before August 1st, 2014.

All of the following items are required and must be presented to the school before the child is considered a fully enrolled Kindergarten student for the 2014-2015 school year:

1. A copy of child’s birth certificate
2. A copy of the child’s Social Security Card
3. An up-to-date immunization record. 
4. A current physical examination.

Cotter FBLA wins at State Conference!

Members of the Cotter High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently competed in the organization's Arkansas State Leadership Conference. While in attendance, students took part in leadership training sessions and listened to motivational speaker, Julian Kent.
Eighteen members were eligible to compete in various events, and 10 of them placed in the Top 5 in the State!  Students placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd will now advance to represent the state  in FBLA's National Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN, this summer. 

The following CHS students placed first, second and third at the state event:

1st place—*Hayden Callahan* in the event of Agribusiness
1st place—*Whitney Barkes and Kelsey Willingham* in Desktop Publishing
1st place—*Monica Page* in FBLA Principles and Procedures
2nd place—*Kaitlyn Dewey, Hailey Dewey, and Samantha Shelley* in the event
of Local Chapter Annual Business Report
4th place—*Samantha Shelley and Ashley Zeltner *in the event of E-Business
5th place—*Emma Nichols* in the event of Spreadsheets Applications
5th place—*Samantha Hodges* in the event of Business Math 
The Cotter FBLA chapter was also honored with the Hollis & Kitty Guy Gold Seal Award of Merit, making it one of only 8 Arkansas chapters recommended to National FBLA for recognition. Samantha Shelley was recognized as Who's Who in FBLA. She, along with fellow students Kaitlyn Dewey, Hailey Dewey, Aron Rowe and Whitney Barkes, also earned the first level of the National Business Achievement Awards. Kray was also honored with a 15-Year of Service Award Certificate for her outstanding dedication to the FBLA-PBL organization.




Cotter Receives National Honor

Cotter Junior-Senior High has been named a Verizon Innovative Learning School. They were presented a $50,000 grant for technology Tuesday morning at the State Capitol.
